Enrique Lanz Jiménez (b. 1992, Mexico City).
Lives and works between Zürich, and Mexico City.
Through painting, drawing, and ceramics, he explores domestic space and the hierarchies that govern it. His work seeks to destabilize these structures by reimagining domestic entities within non-hierarchical narratives.
Drawing from both his upbringing in Ciudad Satélite (eaten suburb by Mexico City) and his current surroundings, he fosters an intersubjective dialogue between pets, household appliances, the spaces we inhabit, their materiality, and the everyday experiences that surround us.
He studied Visual Arts at the Escuela Nacional de Pintura, Escultura y Grabado “La Esmeralda” (2014), and earned an MFA from Zürcher Hochschule der Künste, Zürich (2024).
His work has been exhibited in places such as Hotel Tiger (Zürich), Travesía Cuatro (Guadalajara), Proxyco Gallery (New York), and Rawson Projects & Regina Rex Gallery (New York).
